Anthony R. Malloy
Tony Malloy is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of New York Life Insurance Company, the nation’s largest mutual life insurer with more than $700 billion in assets under management. He is responsible for investment strategy, asset allocation and management of the company’s general account portfolio. Mr. Malloy oversees both traditional public fixed income and equity investments and alternative strategies such as private credit, private equity, real estate equity, and venture capital. Mr. Malloy is also the Chief Executive Officer of NYL Investors, the firm’s insurance asset management subsidiary. He is responsible for the organization’s strategy, profitability, and leadership of more than 300 investment professionals. With over 35 years of investment management and financial services experience, Mr. Malloy joined New York Life in 1999 after previously serving in positions of increasing responsibility in commercial lending and debt capital markets with J.P. Morgan, Toronto-Dominion, and First Chicago. Mr. Malloy is a member of New York Life’s Executive Management Committee, which advises the Chairman and CEO on the firm’s strategy and policies. He also serves as a director of Seguros Monterey New York Life, the firm’s Mexican insurance subsidiary. Mr. Malloy is chairman of the board of trustees for Good Shepherd Services, which serves over 30,000 youth and family members in New York City’s most under-resourced communities. Mr. Malloy received his MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA in English and Economics from Middlebury College.
